VISA INFORMATION

Romania is a member of the European Union but it is not in a Schengen Area. For the participants from countries requiring visa for entry in Romania, please see the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with information on visa requirement.
The conference participants are responsible themselves to obtain entry visa to Romania. Be aware that all the information given is liable to be transmitted to the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The organizers do not accept any financial liability or provide written cost cover guarantees for participants nor do they obtain visas on behalf of participants. The organizers may however provide, on request, letters of invitation certifying the acceptance of papers as may be required for visa applications.

TRAVEL HINTS
Foreign participants can reach Bucharest by airplane or by train.
By air. The International Airport Bucharest "Henri Coandă" is located in Otopeni, 16.5 km North from Bucharest.
The connection with the city center is made by the express bus no. 783 (average frequency 15-20 minutes; the fare is less than 1 Euro one way) or by taxi (normal price 10 – 15 euro). The express bus no. 780 connects the international airport with the main train station in Bucharest (Nord Train Station). Information on the buses 780 and 783 are on the following websites:

By train. International express trains connect the main central European capitals with Bucharest.

Approx. 22 euro/night single room and 35 euro/night double room (breakfast is not provided).
If you prefer this hotel, please contact the organizers, because the reservation can be made only through them.

50-100 euro/night
Hotel Siqua. For this hotel there is a special price for the participants to the conference: approx. 45 euro/night single room and 52 euro double room, breakfast included. If you  book for this hotel, you have to send your  request to the e-mail geanina.jitaru@hotelsiqua.ro  with the mention "Participant to the Water and sustainability Conference, organized by the Faculty of Geography". This mention is not necessary for other hotels.
