THE QUALITY OF WATERS IN DROBETA – TURNU SEVERIN URBAN ECOSYSTEM

Andriţa Valentin, "Stefan Odobleja" Pedagogical College Drobeta – Turnu, Romania

Abstract

Water’s quality is not constant in time and it can vary because of many anthropic natural factors.
Underground waters are the main resource for the population supply with water. That is because the underground waters ensure the supply with fresh water for a large population, the quality of that being of capital importance. Thus, the fresh water supplier has to ensure the water’s supply which attends the requirements of the quantity and quality of water. Sometimes underground waters don’t carry out these standard requirements having some remissed constituents issued from natural sources or outcame from some anthropical activities.

Keywords: water quality, surface waters, underground waters,  eutrophisation
