SOURCES OF WATER SUPPLY IN PLOIESTI

Abstract

Water is very much prevalent in nature, in all three layers of aggregation, as gas or water vapor - mist, steam, and clouds - the atmosphere, in liquid form in rivers, swamps, lakes, oceans and large solid form or ice. It covers more than 70% of the earth both liquid and solid is for life on earth and is a part of living things.
This paper describes the "Source of water supply of Ploiesti" and includes sources of deep and surface sources (with presentation of Paltinu lake: pool, capacity, repairs) but water culvert system in the city of Ploiesti (especially the from Paltinu).
It is also presented water quality, water treatment plant and distribution network to consumers. The last part presents the system modernization water supply work and conclusions.
