Abstract
Desnăţui river is a first degree tributary of the Danube on the Oltean sector and it is part of the small rivers category, having a length of 53 km and a basin area of 325 km2 . On the entire hidrological basin it has two second degree tributaries, with the springs of Desnăţui river in the high field of Bălăciţa and tributaries on the lower piedmont hills. The confluence is in the complex of ponds, called Cârna-Bistreţ.
The results of the modifications brought to the medium leakage of Desnăţui hydrographic basin, possible through hydro-technical outfitting, have been analized through the medium leakage for periods before the outfitting, (considered natural) and the periods after these were finished (considered controlled leakage).
In the process of writing this paper we used data from the hydrologic stations in the Desnăţui basin (Dragoia, Gabru, Goicea and Afumaţi) and meteorological (Craiova, Băileşti şi Bechet), data obtained in fifty years time. The processing of this data was made through classic methods : statistic-mathematics analysis (leakage coefficient, Standardized Precipitation Anomaly, graphic correlation) and synthesis trough new methods, accustomed to G.I.S.
From the comparative analysis of the variation of annual medium leakage at the hydrographic basin Desnăţui, before usage and outfitting we can observe a consistent link to variation in weather precipitation. After 1975 modified flow period, dependence factors, so, the anthropogenic factor has the main role. In this way, Fântânele reservoir has a special impact on the maximum leakage because this fails to diminish the extraordinary floods recorded on the Desnăţui river (mitigation or retention of natural flow in dam).
