Abstract

This work is about evaluation of capacity for some heavy metals storage and bioaccumulation factor at Polytrichum commune and Elodea canadensis harvested from lake Pucioasa, County Dambovita. Were determinated the concentrations of chromium, lead, strontium, copper, zinc, cobalt, manganese and iron from plants and mud by EDXRF method. For example chromium concentration in Polytrichum commune was 2040 ppm, comparatively to 1330 ppm in Elodea Canadensis. Also was calculated the bioabsorption factor for each case. Bioabsorption factor for chromium was 2,04% at moss species and 1,113 at Elodea Canadensis.
