Professor PhD. Cristian IOJA

Cristian Ioja is a Professor in the Faculty of Geography at the University of Bucharest and a Senior Researcher at the Centre for Environmental Research. In 2015, he obtained the Habilitation in Environmental Sciences, and in 2017, in Geography. He is the Treasurer of the Society for Urban Ecology and the president of the Society for Urban Ecology – South Eastern Europe Chapter. The research activities are focused on urban ecology, human-nature connections, and environmental planning. His current research is linked to urban protected areas as a form of interaction between natural ecosystems and technological and social ones.
